what are your tattoos?
how old were you when you got them?
any specific reason for getting them?
how long did you think about it before you got them?
do you regret it?
Answer
My very very first tattoo was in 1982 - I was 17. It was just plain old stencil butterfly, but in those days "good girls" didn't get tattooed. I was the only woman with a tattoo that most of the people I came into contact with ever knew, and people tended to make incorrect judgments of me. In 1991 I had the butterfly incorporated into a bigger tattoo of a fairy frolicking amongst the flowers. It was done free hand by an artist in Ann Arbor who was an art teacher for several years. She said she was going to make it look like she had drawn the tattoo my leg with sharpie markers and 19 years later it still looks like somebody just drew it on my leg - although some of the most detailed work is starting to deteriorate. My most recent one was last February - it is a tattoo of little red riding hood and the big, bad wolf. The first one I didn't think about at all, the others I thought long and hard about. Not to decide if I wanted them, but to figure out *exactly* what I wanted. I am in the process of planning my next one and have begun researching artists. I use a different artist each time, but I use really, really good artists. You get what you pay for! No regrets.

Tattoo Question?
caitie
I am planning on getting a butterfly tattoo on my lower back. I want the tattoo because of the meaning of a butterfly. It signifes change and i have gone through many changes this past year in the life. Both my grandparents were diagnosed with cancer, my aunt passed away and i have started University. There have been many other changes but i just though i would list the major ones. Neways I was wondering if anyone knew where i could find free stencils for butterfly's. I searched tattoojohnny.com but you have to pay for it. I just thought i would look around before i checked out at different tattoo parlours. If anyone knows any sites or where to find designs it would be much appricated. Thanks in advance
