I am planning on getting my first tattoo soon. I love butterflies! I want something Simple but cute, small about inch and a half or 2 maybe 3 anyone has pics to show me or drawings? PLEASE

i have a tattoo on my back up the top of a celtic tribal butterfly took 2 hours!! didnt really hurt that much except when some nerves went weirdo and i could feel it in my ear and leck lol. www.tattoofinder.com has HEAPS of designs!! there is no such thing as a cute butterfly tattoo. When you see a butterfly tattoo, aside from it being painfully generic and all too common, it typically means one of two things. No.1 - total flippin TRAMP. or No.2 Totally naive child's first tattoo.

The butterfly is a sign of a complete lack of creativity in the tattoo world, and most tattoo artist tense up and curl their toes when they have to do this... meaning they hate it, trust me.

If you must get a tattoo, THINK ABOUT IT, and get something that means something to you.

I was wondering if anybody knows where I can find any pictures of this tattoo I like of a butterfly. It's actually two halves of a butterfly, but when you put your wrists together, it makes a full butterfly. Any help would be appreciated. :)
I'm not actually interested in getting the tattoo, by the way. I just want to show it to somebody I know, because I liked it. :)

As for the two halves of a butterfly, that's something an artist would do when you give them the design. You can do that too with photoshop.

Yes you have to make an appointment, the studio isn't even open to the public without one. How much it's going to cost is going to depend on what you have done but I would expect to pay at least 4x as much as you would anywhere else.

im planning on getting 3 small (about 1 1/2 - 2 in. in diameter) butterfly tattoos my torso. im thinking of simply sticking to black, but i would like to have greens and purples if possible.

Maybe think about just getting a black and gray tattoo. I know it doesn't sound like much, but in the long run - often times they look better on your skin tone. You're lucky to have such pretty skin, and with a color tattoo, the color will show up, because the ink soaks into your skin, but a black tattoo would show up and look nicer and fresher.

If you really want to go with color, I think red would be one that would show up pretty good.

I got my ears pierced first, when I was 7. I just recently got them double pierced, so... Yeah. I might get a nose piercing soon, as well as cartilage piercings on my ears. I also might get a tattoo with some song lyrics. Probably "You're a heart attack in black hair dye" (From Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back by My Chemical Romance) as my fiance dyes his hair black. Maybe a line from the Jabberwocky. As you can see, my body is a work in progress.

I already have 2 tattoos and am wanting another one. Both of the ones i have are on my back. But I have to cover it up for work, meaning not on the arms or legs. I am wanting a super cute, sexy look w/ it. Where is a good idea?
I'm only 21 and ya I dont mind it showing any time outside of work. We just have a strict dress code. I have a "tramp stamp" and then one between my shoulder blades. So I'm wanting something different.

Do you want it to be seen when you go out at nights? Or is this something you desire to be more personnel? Suggest you use desecration since you did give your age, think about, ......have a few great ideas.. Good Luck!! Tanks for giving age! I got 2 butterflies and a band on my leg about an inch above my right ankle. It is vey detailed and took 3 hours. The butterfly on the outside is fine but the one on the inside of my left keeps leaking clear fluid from one spot on the tattoo. I have 9 other tattoos on my uper body and this has never happened before. I called the artist and he said I prob used too much ointment, I have been using Unscented Lubriderm twice a day. CAn anyone help?

its not infected....its normal in the healing process...the tattoo is like a cut...the clear fluid is whats trying to heal the wound...clean it with anti bacterial soap and warm water 2-3 times a day..dont put anything on it for 1/2 hour or so then put something on it...its just like any other cut and needs to be exposed to air to help it heal...you would know if it was infected...i have A LOT of tattoos and hung out in a tattoo shop a good part of my life..

well im from the detroit area myself, and ive been to American Pride tattoo, on woodward and catapla. They are very clean. And ive seen the man that works there, in his 20-30 and his work is very good. My other place would be eternal tattoo. I know of the one on 14 mile and crooks road. Its brand new, its only been there for about 2-3 years, i know theres another branch on 10 and gratiot heres the link, just click locations and you can see which artists are at which one and most of them have websites
