After a few seconds I want to know why they got those tattoos. If they said 'cause I thought they'd be sexy,' I'd instantly be turned off. It has to mean something to you. Tattoos are an expression of the artist who drew and colored it, and the person who the tattoo is on. The artwork becomes just ink and lines if it is meaningless.

It's great that you know where you want to place a tattoo, but you seem to be the indecisive type who can't jump right in and get just anything and that's fine. I'm the same way. There are some people who get butterflies and hearts and stuff like that, but they tend to be the compulsive type or the ones who want a tattoo just so that they can say they have one (or because they think it's sexy).

A tattoo is going to be there for a long time. You need to find a design that you like and that actually means something to you.

You haven't come across something that means something special to you yet, but chances are you will eventually. Wait until that happens before you get a tattoo. You'll be happier with it, I promise.

I have been wanting to get a Tattoo in my lower back but I am a little afraid. I think they are very sexy!! I got my eyebrows tattoo but wonder if it's the same pain or worst. Please let me know if and when you got your Tattoo did it hurt you? For how long was your skin hurtin for?

I have a butterfly tattooed on my lower back just above my butt....and you are right, it is very, very sexy! Just make sure it is what you want and can live with for a lifetime. I like butterflies so this was the right choice for me. As far as pain goes...it really wasn't that bad there. There is more flesh than say an ankle so it isn't going to hurt as bad. I found it to be uncomfortable but not unbearable and I didn't cry or anything. You said you had your eyebrows tattooed on...well I had my eyeliner permanently done. I can tell you that hurt 200% more than my lower back did. The eyelids have delicate skin and she had to cut them and make them bleed to get the ink deep enough to stay put. I love how it looks when it is done and I will do it again if I need to (maintenance). But my lower back felt like a tickle compared to my eyeliner. So, I am sure it is similar with your eye brows. Find a tattoo you really like and has a special meaning and then go for it. Be sure the person that does it is reputable and look at some of his prior work before letting them put anything on you. I think its mean to label a girl because of a lower back tattoo. I mean yes, some are like really low and pretty much on the butt and have a slutty thing like a butterfly or something and get it on purpose to be slutty. But I really want one there but I don't want to be judged and called a whore just because of a tattoo. What are your opinions on this?

i have never heard of lower back tattoos being called tramp stamps. i think they look nice and i was going to get one my self but i dont wanna be like every1 else. so im going to get one going down my spine and stopping at the lower part of my back. it also depends on the person. slutty people get them there because it attracts the eyes of the opposit sex and usually they look lower than the tattoo itself. if you flant it then yes but if your sensable about it i dont see why you should be stamped with that name!!!

i was thinking about getting a memorial tattoo for my mom?

That sounds lovely to me, maybe you can have the dates, or her name added in somewhere in the body or as the antennas? Or get something that symbolizes something special between the two of you-- the punchline to a joke you shared, or a quote she lived by. Maybe something she always told you when you were little. A line from her favorite song, or a word that just fits her completely. Something silly, or sad. Just make sure it means something to YOU, and don't worry what it means to anyone else. This tattoo is between you and her. I would not go for the obvious I heart MoM tattoo however. Good luck . .

Im thinking about getting a tattoo and i want opinions if this sounds stupid.?

It will be a chest piece more along my collar bones and it will say
"i see who i want to be, in my daughters eyes..." And it will have a design at the end of it. The design will be dashes and a butterfly will be at the end, the dashes will form a heart and inside will be my daughters foot prints.
I like it, either way it's my body so the ultimate choice is mine i would just like some opinions on it.

honestly i personally would never get a tattoo unless i had some life changing experience. even then, it better be pretty good. you only get one body.

but hey, if your daughter is your life changing thing then by all means go ahead.
