inner wrist tattoo pain?

next week i am getting a small key tattooed on my inner left wrist. i have 3 tattoos already, a butterfly on my inner ankle, a lotus flower on my lower back, and a fleur de lis on the back of my neck. my question is how much will an inner wrist tattoo hurt? also, my veins are visible through my skin in that area, can my veins pop from the tattoo needle? and do inner wrist tattoos fade faster than other tattoos? i heard they do. thanks!

It wont hurt anymore than any of your other ones. Your veins will be fine, I have one on my foot and my veins are very close to the surface and nothing happened.
I haven't noticed any fading in my wrist tattoo, but I'm rather pale.

Ever since then, my mom has been wanting to get a tattoo done with me. Like a mother/son tattoo, that we would get together. Since talking about it, my brother has decided to get one too, this would be his first.
I've tried looking for designs or something that we could get, to no avail.
Any ideas that me, my brother and my mom could get together?

Well, I like matching tattoos especially on relatives. My mom n I have matching butterfly tattoos. If my two sons wanted to get matching tattoos with me, I would be thrilled. I would suggest a turquoise rose, or a tribal piece, or something epic like the tree of life. She could get a lock, and the two of you could get intricate skeleton keys. Just keep looking around and talking with them, and you will find something stellar to ink on yourselves. Good luck!

Well, I have a two butterflies a lotus flower in the groin region, a poem I wrote with floral and filigree on my right side (from under the arm pit to the hip), a swallow on my foot, a tiger lily on my left hip, both backs of my thighs have a rose (one with a locket, one with a key), and my back has two purple butterflies sitting atop my sisters name with a rose... and winnie the pooh.

First one I got was the rose with my sisters name right after she passed.

I am getting the quote "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit." As my next tattoo. My original idea was to put the quote with an old fashioned key, I just really like the look of old keys. But keys really don't symbolize excellence. Anyone have an idea of a symbol of excellence or success. I want the symbol to represent what the quote is saying.

A key definetly could. Keys open doors to new opportunity, therefore new found excellence and success. Think deeper :)

What are your most hated types of tattoos?

I find myself to be a tattoo elitist. I, personally, love Traditional American tattoos. But I can appreciate the art of Japanese style, Grafitti style, etc. The key, though, is ART. So many tattoos nowadays are pure crap! I know I can't be the only person who is a tattoo elitist... Come on, what kind of tattoos can't you stand?
Here are a couple of mine to get started...

1. Tribal tattoos on people who wouldn't know tribal if it knocked them in the nose.
2. butterfly tattoos... so over done.
3. Chinese / Japanese symbols on girls who never have and never will care about the culture that they have tattooed on them. They just want the word "Strength" to look cool.
4. Disney or Looney Toon character tattoos.... Come on people! You really want Taz on you forever?!

You see, I am just trying to spark a good debate. Even if you don't agree with me, please tell me what tattoos make your skin crawl!

I am going to be a mental health counselor and i have a sleeve of stars going down the face of my right arm and plan to get another tattoo this summer on the inside of my left forearm.I plan to dress up everyday(shirt and tie) but if i wasnt to dress up and wore short sleeves would you still visit me after seeing them?

Even if I didn't have my own tattoos, it wouldn't bother me the least bit if a mental health professional (the key word here is professional, so you obviously are taking all of the necessary steps to get to that point) had any.

Also, Rick is a prejudicial person who is clearly basing his views on a few bad people and/or situations. I have tattoos, but don't have a weak mind at all. Nor am I a follower, considering that I don't have any of the standard tattoos for girl such as a butterfly or a flower. Also, I am not seeking anyone's approval with my tattoos, because I understand that even with more people being accepting of tattoos and also getting there own, there is still a stigma that other people cannot let go.

Also, I graduated high school with honors while attending college classes at the same time. I also already have an associates degree as a result of that, and I am currently attending a university to get a bachelors degree. After that, I plan on getting my masters, all the while working to pay my own way through school... Many people in different fields have tattoos like doctors, lawyers, and law enforcement officers, are they dumb? No, they are not.

Consider this Rick, if you needed some type of life saving surgery or something to that serious of an effect, would you refuse paying money or using your insurance to use the services of the best doctor or other professional in your county or state because they had a tattoo?

Like you Rick, I have both money and insurance, but unlike you, I don't think that makes me better than anyone else. You should use some of that money or insurance to go see a counselor, maybe they will help you to be more open minded and accepting of others.

When i got tattoos for my girls I did a lilly and a rose, my daughters names, with a celtic love knot in the middle.

My sister in law has a butterfly with her daughters name in it on her ankle. Now hse has a son too and after a lot of thinking and talking she decided to have a vine done from her foot to her leg with a monkey on it holding a banana that has his name in it.

My cuz did a moon on her ankle that is blowing stars and star dust. Each star has a the name of one of her kids.

Kid tattoos can be a lot of fun.
