What do you think of this tattoo?

I'm thinking about getting this done soon and I've been getting mixed reviews on it, my friends thinks it's to much and my boyfriend likes it.
I'm thinking of getting mine much smaller than that though
mrstomikaulitz - well I want it exactly like that pic , with the butterflies going in the same direction as pictured but on a much smaller scale

i hate butterflies and have a great dislike for butterfly tattoos. however, this one is very interesting and is growing on me the more i view it. i think it would look really beautiful if you had it on the same place of your back, and agree that at a smaller scale it would be more tasteful. in addition, i think you should ask your artist to either put some color in the wings of the butterflies or add some black/grey shading... to give it more depth, personality, and realism. it would also make the tattoo more your own and appear less that you copied someones tattoo, which is a really tacky and inconsiderate thing to do.

do you consider it one of those cheesy things, like roses or butterflies or something?

-"Le Reveur" (translates to "the dreamer" in french)

also, do you think the quote "what is essential is invisible to the eye" is too long to get as a tattoo.
i don't want a massive, really obvious tattoo.

First off, nothing is cheesy for a tattoo, if it is personal, well thought out, you love it, and you make it as high of quality with a skilled tattoo artist, that you can. Then do excellent care during healing and for life.
It is yours, and your personal choice, having nothing to do with fad, other's opinion, etc. Your body.

Now, as to your ideas: all of them are fine and can be turned into great tattoos ... or 'cheesy' tattoos, .. depending on the image, and who does the work.

So, your star sign, don't chose common images and designs. Find unique artwork of your sign, or have it done simply, but by someone you love and have it copied, or design it yourself, or take your idea and images that appeal to you to your skilled and experienced tattoo artist, and have him/her draw up a custom design for your approval.

so between the shoulderblades at the biggest would be about 8x7? that could be several hundred dollars, $500? around there. smallest you'd probably want would be 5x4? i'd guess $350.
considering you go to a trusted shop & all that detail... and if you want color that'd be more expensive.
best to go to a shop and get an estimate. it all matters the time & amount of ink.

What are some good ideas for children's names?

I am getting a tattoo of my children's names. I have two, a boy and a girl. I was thinking of getting their names around my ankle with something like a heart separating the names. I do not want the typical solid heart though. Looking for unique ideas.

And I don't care if YOU think tattoos are stupid I like them and it will be meaningful and I don't care how it will look when I am old. So save all your dumb comments for someone else.

When i got tattoos for my girls I did a lilly and a rose, my daughters names, with a celtic love knot in the middle.

My sister in law has a butterfly with her daughters name in it on her ankle. Now hse has a son too and after a lot of thinking and talking she decided to have a vine done from her foot to her leg with a monkey on it holding a banana that has his name in it.

My cuz did a moon on her ankle that is blowing stars and star dust. Each star has a the name of one of her kids.

Kid tattoos can be a lot of fun.
