Tattoos typically take 2 weeks to heal.
Just follow the after care directions carefully.

How can I get rid of a tattoo behind my ear?

Angela

I am trying to get into the military but have a tattoo behind my right ear. I have tried several different ways of getting rid of it already which has left it faded. I am trying to find a quick/effective way of getting rid of it. It is a small/medium size outline of a butterfly. If you have tried something that worked for you to leave it extremely faded or removed it completely please let me know.

If you're just going to tell me I should have thought about it before I got the tattoo don't even waist your time commenting. At the time I got it, I was in school and had no intention of joining the military and wasn't even aware of the tattoo regulations.

Answer
I don't know anything that is as effective as laser. I've heard the picosure is the newest and as what they say the fastest to remove even colored tattoos but it doesn't come cheap. I too have a tattoo that I want to get removed but I don't want to do something like burning it off with a cigarette that will just leave a nasty scar and is moooore painful than getting the tattoo. Or sandpapers.

I've tried hydrogen peroxide, exposing it to sun rays.. nothing worked. The ink was deposited layers underneath with tattoo needles repeatedly piercing your skin so the only thing I can recommend is laser. Fading creams only work on the outside so it's a total waste of money, actually. I'm currently saving up for the cost, I know it's a lot of $$$ but it's the only way I can live my life normally again. Mistakes are part of our lives. Oh and just be positive about it. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Good luck. :)

*To Summer: I've seen dermatology clinics downtown offering closing up ear tunnels so everything is really possible nowadays. :)

Free tattoo behind my ear?

Q. So i know this place that does free promotional tattoos the size of a quarter and I'm going to go next week. I want to know...what should i get? Plus don't feed me this bs about "oh don't get it. you'll regret it!" And should i trust a place that gives free tats? I mean a lot of places do it for promotional value. But have you gotten one?
OK ill say it again...a lot of places do it. Does not mean they are grimy..

Answer
Obviously, it's strange how their even handing out free tattoo's. Someone I knew once got one for free on their ankle, and it turns out it was infected. Now she has some weird disease that I really don't know what it is. Plus, it's not even worth it because people wont really see it behind your ear. But if you really insist and don't mind taking a risk, I say you should get a really cool small sized butterfly or something.

Tattoo ideas for BEHIND EAR?

crackalack

it'd awesome if you can show pictures of it.

Answer
You can do whatever you want, it's your body, I understand and respect that. BUT...
tattoos are supposed to mean something to you, it's there forever. So, I don't really see the point in asking people what you should put there.
Have it be something meaningful.
People are going to ask you what the tattoo means for the rest of your life, do you really want to say, "it's just a butterfly" ?
It's your choice, I hope you choose what you like :D
good luck!!

Is it true that tattoos behind the ear fade really fast?

?

I heard that tattoos behind the ear fade super fast. True or False?

Answer
My experience is that it is a false statement. I got a purple/blue/back butterfly behind my right ear almost 5 years ago, and it's still vibrant. I have had no fading yet. But to help ensure it doesn't fade, I always put sunscreen on it if I am wearing my hair up.

I want a tattoo behind my ear. Any suggestions as to what I should get?

jomae

I really want to get a tattoo behind my ear, but can't think of something that could be small enough. I was thinking of a tattoo of a white rabbit, an owl, or of "the little prince". I don't want something normal like a flower, butterfly, or stars. I also don't want anything "tribal".

does anyone have any suggestions?

Answer
If your not 100% on what you want for a while then do not get it.
i like the idea of getting your surname in cursive font behind your ear going down your hairline.
stars look nice also but they are common and does it have any meaning to you?
if your interested in the asian symbols you can have a word that means seomething to you translated there.
love, hope, faith bla bla take your pick

Blonde Reb

BQ: What does it stand for?

+ I have 3 tattoo's and 5 piercings
+ 2 butterflies, one on my side and one behind my ear and "Live, Long and Prosper"
+ 2 ear piercings in each ear and a tongue ring
+ Butterflies stand for sexuality/beauty and "Live, Long and Prosper" is my favorite Star Trek, Spock quote.

Answer
I got my ears pierced first, when I was 7. I just recently got them double pierced, so... Yeah. I might get a nose piercing soon, as well as cartilage piercings on my ears. I also might get a tattoo with some song lyrics. Probably "You're a heart attack in black hair dye" (From Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back by My Chemical Romance) as my fiance dyes his hair black. Maybe a line from the Jabberwocky. As you can see, my body is a work in progress.

I'm 17 and am going to be 18 in a few months. Now, I think Tattoo's are my favorite form of art, but I only want a small one behind my ear. Not something trashy.

Any suggestions on what kind of Tattoo would look good, but not too flashy?

Answer
Astrological symbol. favourite cartoon character, star, bird, heart, flower, and a butterfly.

Is it possible to have a tattoo on your cheekbone ?

xoxo.

I was just wondering about how painful tattoos were compared to braces when I thought of this .
Never mind...
Let`s just compare tattooing your upperarm or lower back to braces . Which is worse ?

Answer
I am going to answer the first part of your question. :)

I have a tattoo on my temple of a Hell Butterfly. Remarkably, it did not hurt at all. BUT... if you tattoo on the cheek bone, the machine vibrations are a little rough and painful. I have 4 tattoos, and the one behind my ear was the least painful. The one on the ankle bone was the most painful. The more cushion, the less pain usually.
