Tattoo Designs for One life, No regrets?

I was wanting to get a tattoo with the words "One life" on top and "No Regrets" on the bottom. I was thinking about getting a traditional style skull and rose buds with it but im not sure. Are there any other things that represent having just one life? Living life to the fullest? thanks for the help.

I have a butterfly on my back with an eye on its wing. Get something symbolic to you, not something that is commonly recognized to other people. What is something in your life that means One life and No regrets?

Is there something that has happned to you that makes you want to get this?

Death Before Dishonor Tattoo (2 Questions.)?

Alrighty so ive been looking around at tattoos and i stumbled across the quote "Death Before Dishonor"
When i saw it i liked it right off the bat(<-spelled right?)

So i looked more into it and i guess its used as a "Military Tattoo" I am not in the Military (although i do plan on enlisting with in the next couple of years)


My Questions.

A. If i where to get a tattoo that said "Death Before Dishonor" would i get "crap" for not being in the military? (ask your self would YOU say something about it?)

B. (IF i would not get any crap) I would like suggestions on some kind of design to go with the Tattoo

NOTE: Tattoo would be on my chest or my back. (if you can find something else im open for it!)

I don't know dude. I have issues with cliche' tattoos - that included. It's a cool quote and all, but it's not something I would have tattooed on me. Far too many people go around preaching that when that's all they are is living dishonorably. Granted, I feel this way about not only that (because I knew someone who got that same tattoo. He also got a scary clown and a 666 tattooed to his lip.) but tattoos like butterflies, Chinese characters, and names.

If you were my friend, I probably wouldn't give you too much shit about it...but I would tease you a little (unless you really DID live up to that philosophy). My school of thought on tattoos is that it should be a carefully considered design (my rule is that I have to absolutely LOVE the idea for at least a year first. Believe me, there have been quite a few designs I liked insanely for 2 weeks and then decided it was retarded. On the other side, I saw a tattoo 10 years ago when I was pregnant I STILL want to this day but have to have it designed.) that is a personal expression of who you are and what you're about. Getting something that other people have, to me, is just weak. But, like I said..that's just me. I have a friend who has the prism and rainbow from The Dark Side of the Moon and for most people, I would just roll my eyes - but Pink Floyd is SO much of who he is and how he identifies himself that it makes sense.

Give it a few months to stew in your brain. If you like the idea still - then get the bitchinest "death before dishonor" tattoo ever! And involve blacklight ink...that's my newest obsession right now.

I am pretty big into Karma. Any tattoo designs you know of? I can't find anything I like. Pics a must! THANKS!
OH - and I don't just want a symbol. I would REALLY love something with a butterffly incorperated into it.

Oh, this is pretty, and would make a delicate tattoo relating to Karma (and blue butterflies) - Butterflies are great symbols of Karma, since they are 'reborn' - This is the Palos Verdes blue butterfly - and was thought to be extinct and was spotted in 1994 and was considered a miracle! Girly Tattoos vs None Girly?

My tattoos are unisex tattoos. So they would look fine on both men and women. I love my tattoos. I'm wondering what everyone's opinon is on girly tattoos. I love girly tattoos, but I also dig it when a woman gets a not so girly one, like my wolf. Here are my tattoos, they are on my thighs. I love them like crazy, and they mean alot to me, I'm just curious as to what you all think about what makes a tattoo feminine. I've been told that I shouldn't have gotten mine, because they aren't girly enough, I think thats rediculous, but we all have our own opinions, thanks. Mine:

that wolf tattoo is literally stunning! the lion one is beautifully done as well.
i'm indifferent to "feminine tattoos." I prefer unisex ones. The latter look edgier and are often 1000x more individual.
Flowers, butterfly, star, heart playboy bunnies or anything like that- don't get me wrong I think they do look lovely, but I don't like what they represent at first glance, and the assumptions people make about them. They've just become so common. I know that with a lot of people who have them they do hold some individual meaning to the owner, but even so I don't like the fact that everyone has them, and all in the same places; lower back, shoulder, hip/lower stomach, ankle.
I think what comprises the femininity of a tattoo is the way that particular tattoo lies on that particular persons body, i.e if it suits their unique figure. For example, it has to agree with a feminine aspect of that individuals figure. If she has big breasts, i think a chestpiece would accenuate that. However, is she has small breasts, I think a small tattoo on the actual breast or just above underneath the shoulder would look better, as it would enhance the daintiness therefore femininity of the woman. If the woman has large hips, then a hip tattoo would look good, if she has a nice ass, then a lower back tattoo etc.
I think the colour and shape of the tattoo also plays a role in drawing attention to individual femininity. If she has cool colouring (e.g. blonde hair, blue eyes) a blue or violet tattoo would look nice to compliment features. If warmly coloured (e.g. dark hair, tanned skin) a dark pink or dark blue tattoo would look nice. If the person has a rounded figure, a round tattoo would enhance their assets. If the person is slender and small, small tattoos would look better and mirror their dainty figure. If she is bigger, she'll be lucky enough to be able to pull off some more detailed/bigger designs that would overwhelm or look masculine on a smaller woman.
Ultimately, the femininity of the tattoo has to rely on what the individual already has to make it work.
