should i get a butterfly tattoo on my lower back?

Gawjuss

like, a really small one. i think they look kinda pretty on some people, but iuno.
like, im blonde and quite skinny, so maybe i look to innocent or whatever and it wouldnt suit...? and do tattoos hurt. and when you get old do they go alll groosss?
and im 14, but like heaps of piercing places do illegal piercings, is it more strict with tattoos, like, do you have to show ID? i probably look about sixteen, well according to about five randoms my friend asked.... :s

Answer
i love those kinds of tattoos
actually i am planning on doing that when i am older
dont make it to flashy tho
because when you are older (like 70)
it will look weird
haha
but i think those tattoos are gorgeous

good place for small butterfly tattoo?

jessay

im planning on getting a tattoo. i would really like a butterfly tattoo but relatively small, does anyone know where a good place would be to get it on my body, preferably not my wrists or hands.
also have any ideas what are some other good small tattoos for girls?
thanks.

Answer
I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'smallâ. Small butterflies will look good in many areas of the body. . Something to consider when getting smaller tattoos - wanting a larger tattoo in that area later, or adding smaller tattoos to that area in the future. Your profession may play a deciding factor as well.

The shoulder, ribcage, lower back, chest, lower abdomen, buttocks, thigh, lower leg, and top of foot⦠these are common areas my female clients ask for butterflies.

As far as small tattoos for females â anything that does not contain an extreme amount of detail, once again depending on how small you are referring too.

Stars, hearts, skulls, dragonflies...the list could go on for a while. Astrological symbols do well as âsmallâ tattoos, as well.

Find something that has some meaning for you.

I want a black butterfly tattoo on my lower back usually known as a "tramp stamp." I would like an estimate. :)

Answer
"very detalied" does not actually tell me HOW detailed you want it
the size, detail, and where you go determines the cost

How bad does a lower back tattoo hurt?

brittiany

Helloo . So I have been wanting to get a butterfly tattoo (colored) on my lower back for a long time... And might get it done tomorrow. How bad does it hurt? And also whats the least painful spot to get one?

Answer
Anywhere that is more "fleshy" or where it's not directly on top of bone (Example: ribs) are more likely to hurt less, but you'll still feel "pain" or the tattoo needle on your skin regardless of where you'll get it. Arms and legs (depending exactly where) will usually hurt less--for most people. Places like ribs and feet will hurt more. White ink is also supposed to hurt more than colored or black ink.

Lower back tattoos aren't that bad...but that's really hard to say because I don't know your pain tolerance.

I want a butterfly on my lower back.
I do know what it represents. I just want to see what other people say.

Answer
A butterfly can mean anything you want it to mean. Transition, transformation, metamorphosis, change, beauty, youth, etc..etc..
The only thing that matters it what it means to you. You are the one that counts. Like another answer said, it had no special meaning to her, she just liked the design. And that's fine:)
My butterflies are for freedom and transformation.
Get what you want and where you want it. Best wishes:)

How much would a butterfly tattoo on my lower back cost?

Dina

The size is rather small. I know the price depends on the place and quality as well, but I want to know how much a great quality tattoo would cost approximately.
Thanks

Answer
A.. lower back + Butterfly = Tramp stamp... get at your own risk

B. color and Size are the two biggest factors w/in a given market... and the price could double or triple depending on where you are

I priced out a \S/ - Superman Shield-- Outline + 2 colors @ the size of my Palm = $200-$300

-- more color = more money... but 'Tramp-Stamp' is closer to Silver Dollar Size so that would be less

countless variables

so honestly Just open the nearest Phone book, or Yellow Pages web site and find 5 local Tattoo shops make a day of calling or driving to them and talk with one of their artists -- if you have a pic or a drawing show it to them... it may not be cool, but take notes and ask questions -- all those things you should have done in school and with your stats... if your friends have ink, ask who did their work make a truly informed decision

-- Tattoos are either permanent or very expensive to remove so know what you want from day one

I'm considering getting a tattoo on my lower back?

A girl

I'm 15 and lately I have been thinking about getting a small black butterfly tattoo on my lower back (like 2 inches). I heard it really hurts to get tattoos, and someone told me that it can affect your baby if you are pregnant. I'm worried though because If I do get one I never want to regret it. And I don't want to get some kind of skin cancer. But I think getting a tattoo there would be pretty!
Suggestions?

Answer
you cant get skin cancer from a tattoo!! LMAO that is the funniest thing i have ever heard!

What do guys think of girls with a tramp stamp?

Melissa

I have a butterfly tattoo on my back right above my butt, I recently found out it was called a "tramp stamp" and now I am freaking out cause it just sounds so bad.
Guys, I need your real opinion of this please.

Answer
You really shouldn't let that get to you. You define your artwork, not the other way around. Lower back tattoos are very common, but they are also very feminine. Next to the hips, I cant think of a sexier place to get a tatt on a girl. and because other people notice this too, its become a popular place.
Agaisnt the name, there are several other good reasons to tattoo your lower back. 1) its flat and open, theres lots of room for artwork, and maybe even extend to the back 2) like i said its sexy 3) a good place to hide if need be, or to show off
The only excuse not to get a tattoo there is because of the pain, or because you base your life on socail and public acceptance, not meaning tramp stamps are unacceptable in society, just that people like to use things to catagorize and degrade others.
