Foot tattoo price?

rosebudsup

I know it's hard to price tattoos because each shop had different prices, and prices vary for sizes and shading.

I want to get a tattoo of a butterfly on my foot. It's gonna be about three inches long and an inch or two wide. It's basically just a cartoony outline of a butterfly with spirals on the top and bottom. The only shading is a little bit of purple on top of the black for emphasis.

About how much do you think this tattoo would cost? I'd just like a ballpark estimate so I can save up.

Answer
most tattoo artists charge by the hour, and usually charge between 60 and 80 dollars an hour, something that small shouldn't take much longer than an hour, but just incase it does take longer, and including a tip for your artist, i would suggest getting together about 150 dollars

tattoo pricing on a small wrist ink?

taurenfema

I know no one can give me an exact cost on price but I'd like to hear peoples prices they paid and experiences. Pretty much what price would sound to ridiculous or what's to low where I know the place probably sucks, lol..

I want a very simple wrist tat. 3 diamond shapes ( the generic diamond shape you find in photoshop? ) Each diamond individually will measure a little less then an 1 inch a piece and not even half an inch in width. No detail at all really, just a simple fill in of color with maybe 6 lines in each diamond for a TAD detail. P.s. if you caught on yet it's the cutie mark of rarity from MLP:FIM :P

Anyways shoot your experiences at me and price guesstimations! Yes this will be my first tat.

The size is rather small. I know the price depends on the place and quality as well, but I want to know how much a great quality tattoo would cost approximately.
Thanks

Answer
A.. lower back + Butterfly = Tramp stamp... get at your own risk

B. color and Size are the two biggest factors w/in a given market... and the price could double or triple depending on where you are

I priced out a \S/ - Superman Shield-- Outline + 2 colors @ the size of my Palm = $200-$300

-- more color = more money... but 'Tramp-Stamp' is closer to Silver Dollar Size so that would be less

countless variables

so honestly Just open the nearest Phone book, or Yellow Pages web site and find 5 local Tattoo shops make a day of calling or driving to them and talk with one of their artists -- if you have a pic or a drawing show it to them... it may not be cool, but take notes and ask questions -- all those things you should have done in school and with your stats... if your friends have ink, ask who did their work make a truly informed decision

-- Tattoos are either permanent or very expensive to remove so know what you want from day one

Should I get a butterfly tattoo on my shoulder blade?

Q. I wanted to get one even though they are really common. To me, butterflies represent freedom and individuality. They are also one of the most beautiful creatures on Earth. I'm only 16 so I'm going to wait and see if I still want it when I'm older. But I wanted some advice first. Also, how much would it cost to get a small one?

Answer
Its your call. Just make sure it has meaning. There's nothing worse than a meaningless tattoo.

A small one would probably be around 50-75. With full coloring it might be up to 100. Every place differs though.

I'm getting a 5inch ish star with wings full coloring and its between 160-200. The artist is known for being very good and clean, so this price is on the higher side.

But why go cheap when you'll have it the rest of your life?
