I have a lower back butterfly tribal tattoo and I want to remove it by dermasal because alot of people tried it and had amazing results. If you guys dont believe me check thier website. They have faqs and before and after pictures! I dont want to fully remove my tattoo. I want to remove my butterfly. It sucks, and its not that good! I was thinking if I remove my butterfly maybe I can add on then but no questions about it, I'm removing that ugly, unwanted butterfly! = ) So, if anyone has tried this product, please help and share your stories!

What amazing results? What THEY say? They are all crap and you will actually spend MORE money than laser for a butterfly.

Get a couple of laser sessions to lighten it up and get a better, more artistic tattoo as a cover up. That's the best way to go.

I got it done in a tattoo parlor about a year and a half ago. I don't want to waste my money on a product that doesn't work and I do not want to just get it covered up.

Even laser removal is not 100% guaranteed. It's good, sure, but chances are that you'll always have some faint reminder of your tattoo left behind.

The only way to really remove a tattoo is to remove the skin, either surgically or through methods that involve basically sanding the top few layers of skin off. There are no creams that will work, though some may lighten the tattoo.

And really, there's no way to do it cheap unless you and a friend get together with a belt sander, and it's pretty obvious how terrible and disgustingly painful (not to mention dangerous) that idea is.

Sorry, you're stuck with it until you can pony up the money for lasers, dermabrasion, or surgical removal. All of these methods are painful, and the last two will definitely leave you with scarring, and lasers will probably leave you with some scarring.

I have a tattoo of a butterfly about the size of my fist on my lower back. It's black and purple and red/pink and really ugly. I got it done at a kitchen table illegally originally, and then touched up legally a few years later. I still don't like it though. It also feels bumpy in a couple places where the artist pressed way too deep, like the tips of the top wings and the antennas. Ideally I'd like it to be 100% gone because it's so ugly and I also don't like the location, but I'd at least be able to get it lightened enough to get a totally different tattoo.

Tattoo removal always leave scars and inky blotches in the skin. In other word, worse that before. The only real option is a coverup from a coverup artist.

Q. i made the biggest tat mistake ever and put my x's name with a butterfly at the top of my back. i have heard of this cream to remove it.. if anyone knows any good info BESIDES LASOR TREATMENT WHICH I WILL NOT DO! please let me know! i have also heard, but am skeptic about proactive getting rid of tattoos?

I don't know of any creams to get rid of a tattoo, but ask your tattoo artist to create a design over his name. I've several people's re-done tattoos and you couldn't tell a name was ever there.

Does color tattoo removal leave scarring?

I had a laser consultation and was told that removing color tattoos also removes the pigmentation in that area. I have a 1" by 1/2" tattoo on my chest of a black, blue, orange and purple butterfly. I want to get it removed and wanted to know if anyone has had a colored tattoo removed, how many removal sessions were needed and did it leave scabbing or scarring? Is a follow up tattoo to 'repigment' the skin needed? What can I expect during healing if I decide to have it removed?

From what I understand it shouldn't as long as the tattoo was applied properly. What apparently happens is they use a laser to boil the ink beneath the skin, so after the puffiness over it goes down, you shouldn't be able to see anything. As long as your tattoo artist applied it correctly and with safe products you should be fine

i imagine it will take a year or so to remove mine and im willing to go through the pain to rid myself of my mistake.

I have 6 tatoos that i am having removed.

I am currently on the second treatment for a butterfly on the back of my neck and it hasn't changed much but it has to do with the fact that i had it retouched less than a year ago and it's black.

I have a celtic star on the center of my back about the size of my fist(black ink) which i just had the first treatment done 2 weeks ago and it looks awesome, most of the color is gone and by the looks of it i might just need one or two more treatments.

I have a multi-color butterfly on my foot, which i got the first treatment two weeks ago and due to the fact that there is not much body fat in that area it is peeling extremely FAST! I think it may be the one to come off first, I hoping to have it gone in one more visit maybe two.

It is a painful process, not only while the procedure is being done but for several weeks, mine blistered and swell pretty bad. You have to wait between 4-6 weeks between treatments, depending on your skin.

-A simple infinity sign (or maybe a shaded one, but probably the latter) on my wrist
-"Kiss the Sun" written in a simple font written sideways on the back of my hand underneath my pinkie's knuckle
-The word "Free" with a bright blue butterfly sitting on the F below my shoulder on my arm
-A quote from a song: "...And all I feel in my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind" in cursive on my other wrist, but they won't all be on the same line
-"A Thousand Years" on the side of my ring finger, a matching tattoo with my boyfriend
-"One Step Closer" on my foot
-The Arabic tattoo for light (ضÙØ¡) on the side of my wrist (It'll be small)
-DCCXII (Roman numerals for 712) on the back of my neck
-"Epic Dreamers Forever" on my ankle

I know these are permanent. You're probably not going to change my mind, but what do you think of them? Obviously, I'm not going to get them all at once but I'll get them all in a short period of time before a certain major milestone in my life.
Another thing: I'm still contemplating about getting any tattoos at all. These are permanent, so they'll be with me til the day I die. When you get old, not intended to be offensive anyone, but your skin starts to wrinkle and sag and lose its glow. Would the tattoos still look good? Piercings are quick, tattoos can take hours. Depending on the spot you're getting tattooed, it can be painful. I'm not a huge wuss, but my 2+ hours of tattooing on the back of my shoulder left me hardly able to breathe.

Also, butterfly tramp stamp? Remember, tattoos are permanent. Removal is more painful than the tattoo itself.

Which hip to i get my tattoo on?

I'm getting a tattoo of a nautical star on my hip, but which hip? Does it matter if it's the left or the right? My friend has a butterfly on her left and it looks great, but i've seen much more tattoos on the right hip.
