Answer
Butterflies symbolize femeninity so only / let me rephrase that- mostly women request a butterfly tattoo.

For me, the butterfly symbolizes a soul. Then |I looked up butterfly tattoo meaning and sur enough- a soul was listed there as one of the meanings.

|As for the monarch species - they are the most beautiful amng the butterflies.
so- the lady who sports the butterfly tattoo has a beautiful soul?

what does a butterfly tattoo symbolize?

I'm seeking to get a butterfly tattoo next week however I want to know exactly what it means. I want it to symbolize my freedom and crossing a milestone in my life.

Answer
GET it ! A butterfly tattoo is a pretty way of symbolizing your freedom. You know, several years ago, I wanted to get a tattoo of a butterfly as well to symbolize something I had been through earlier, and I did get it on my ankle. I love my butterfly tattoo, every time I glance at it, it makes me smile and I never did regret it.

Ok now this issue about it being for lesbians is something I never heard of ! My advice to you is to get it if you really want it, regardless of the meaning =)

are butterfly tattoos unoriginal and boring?

I've always loved butterflies, since they are so beautiful and symbolize changing for the better. I'm going to get 3-4 very tiny butterflies flying upwards on the side of my lower back (not on the 'tramp stamp' location) but my friends say it's very cliche to have a butterfly lower back tat and it's unoriginal and boring. But I can't think of anything I want more. Is it really such a common and boring idea ? And if it is, what is something small, girly and original that I can get instead ? Thanks in advance :)

Answer
In my view, all tattoos are bad, but butterfly tattoos are preferable to other kinds, like skulls or snakes. Its sort of like, better to have your little finger chopped off than your whole hand, you know? Tattoo predators don't like butterflies since they are pretty--they prefer to inflict snakes, skulls, dragons or satanic signs on their victims. But really, no tattoos are good. A tattoo is a tattoo, and the true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. There is nothing good about a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. Tattoos are an urban blight. They are ugly, like graffiti. Like graffiti, they lower the quality of the environment. Tattoos lower the quality of life, for everyone who has to see their ugliness. The whole concept of tattooing is wrong, the way these hideous cartoons are inked into the flesh of people through bloodletting and pain; if they are âartâ as claimed, they are surely a dark and evil art. Tattoos are closely linked to other forms of self harm, like cutting, piercing, drug use, etc.; they are hand-in-glove with these destructive behaviors. . Young people are fooled into wanting tattoos by degenerate Hollywood and the media. Kids think tattoos are cool and cutting edge, but over time, they wind up hating their tattoos. Far worse, they wind up hating themselves. Parents and older people are so afraid of being disliked that they say nothing against tattoos, even though they know better. Worse, some completely abandon their responsibility to provide sound guidance and even encourage the young ones to get tattooed. As far as tattoos being âartâ, that is foolish garbage. A tattoo is NOT "a work of art". The human body is not a canvas and the abusers and mutilators who desecrate it are not artists. Most of their so called "art" is little better than comic book drawings. More and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. Do not listen to the many predators and enablers here, who encourage young people to abandon decency and live self indulgent and destructive lives. Young peopleâdo not get tattooed. Stay in school, do your best there, avoid drinking, drugs, tattoos and piercings, and avoid those who have them. Go to college, study science, mathematics, or business, and avoid liberal arts (unless you are wealthy and donât need to make a living). God bless you in your life. But if you simply have to have a tattoo, a butterfly is far preferable to a skull, for sure.

I noticed a lot of females with butterfly tatoos. Why are those so popular with young ladies and what would be equivalent on the male side?Like what tattoos do young males have thats almost like females and their butterfly tattoos?

Answer
It's an interesting question, but the truth is... it's a popular design that women like, more than anything else. Kinda like faries or dolphins. They're just pretty, and women go for that kinda stuff. It's kinda like guys having skulls and dragons. Those are popular masculine tattoos worn almost exclusivly by men. The television shows/soap operas would have you belive otherwise, but most people just get what they like. That's the real truth of it, in most cases. But because of TV shows, everyone is looking for 'hidden meaning'. Go figure.

Where can I find the best butterfly tattoos?

I was looking to have someone design my tattoo but I just think its going to be extra money and I might not even like the tattoo they draw. So im looking for a butterfly tattoo that I can put on my right shoulder blade. Im also looking for either chinese or arabic letters that can spell out Mimi. Thats what my grandfather use to call me. I am not sure yet what kind of letters I want but im not looking for "dirty" letters like cursive or anything english. I like soft letters that would look nice on a females body. I just think that american letters on a girl looks trashy (thats just my opinion). Please help!

Answer
You should look around the internet and modify one yourself. You should also be able to bring up a coupls of pictures you like to the tattoo place and have them do little changes themselves. I don't know if it will cost more or not, that seems like more of a decision the tattoo place makes themselves.

As far as the letters go you should be able to find a couple of translator websites that have those languages and translate something from English to Arabic (or whatever you want.) Since it is a translating website you can be pretty sure it doesn't say something random. Try Babblefish.

I've been searching online & can't find this once common butterfly tattoo that looks like a male orgasm. Im trying to get it but can't show it to anyone &. I've only seen it on 2 people years ago.
More info. It looks like a butterfly but when you look at it closely the wings are testicles, the body of butterfly is the penis, and the antennas of butterfly is the cum shot. Like I said I can't find a pic of it online & I've looked a lot. I've only seen it on old people so its probably to a trend, please help I want this as my first openly visible tattoo.

Answer
If you have any artistic ability you could draw it out as best you can and then see a good tattoo artist they could true it up for you. if it is what you are looking for then they can give you the tattoo.

How to cover up a butterfly tattoo?

Christian

I have a fairly small black butterfly tattoo on the small of my back. It was my first tattoo and it looks like crap. There is no way to fill it in, it's not symmetrical and clashes with the dragon and phoenix tattoos I have on my upper back.

I've googled images of butterfly tattoo cover ups but I'd rather make it something else, not a butterfly if possible. Ideas?

Answer
Go to a tattooist and they'll help you come up with something.

Is it okay to dump my girlfriend because she has a tattoo?

i

she has a butterfly tattoo on her back. tattoos are so gross. why would anyone want one?

Answer
To dump a person because of a tattoo like that is pretty damned shallow. It's like you just want her because she looks good and nothing else.
