Dolly Parton's tattoos?

I was just curious what they looked like. I know she has one of a butterfly, but are there any others??

As the poster before me has stated, yes she has a butterfly tattoo on her chest and that should be taken very literally (it's on the lower left quadrant of her left "one")

She has discussed her tattoos publicly, on a Tonight Show appearance in 1996 when Jay Leno noticed the angel on her arm. (a small angel on her left upper arm)

More recently, in 2007or 2008, when she was asked about them by Perez Hilton, she referred to them as "pastels" and it looks like she has added some since 1996 on her upper arms.

It looks like a floral type design running the length of her upper arm and a similar one is on her right arm.

Somehow she seems a bit self consious about them though because it's a very rare occasion that they are visible.

Forget the damn butterflies, the black (terribly drawn) panther on the calve or the double hearts on the upper arm. I've seen plenty of tacky tattoos, but the tackiest of all was a woman with a Tweety tattoo (not kidding!) Can you top this one?

One of my friends has the "Your name" tattoo on his butt.His mom has a rose tattooed on her right breast and shows it to anybody who asks to see it.Not just the tattoo but the whole breast.The tackiest however.One of my coworkers has a vagina tattoo on his neck.He has to wear turtlenecks when we have company visit the plant so he doesnt offend anyone.

I have 5 pink lilies on the upper left arm of my body. The tattoo is rather large, but its beautiful nonetheless. You could get a favorite flower in a favorite color. Or tribal looks good there. A beautiful butterfly done in a rainbow of colors. A fairy, like an Amy Brown fairy. A storm cloud with a lightning bolt. Your favorite pet's portrait. A heart with a banner and a one word phrase in it like strength or love. A swallow. A pin-up girl. A gypsy face. A peacock feather. There's all kinds of tattoos you can get there. girls with butterfly tattoos?

Q. what is your opinion on a girl with butterfly tattoos on her upper arm? my friend has one and i want one similiar. alot of people say girls with tattoos on their arms looks manly. but this is a very FEMININE design. so what would you think?
its a big tattoo, about 6 inches

I think it's very cute and you should do it if you really want it. The only downside however is how cliche it is. Way too many people have butterflies, same with flowers and hearts. Try to make it your own thing, make it have some sort of twist to it. Something unique, don't just go on google, find a butterfly and have it done. Try to be creative, I promise you'll love it a lot more. :) How much would it suck to see someone with the exact same photo as you inked in?

Also, you can ask your tattoo artist to change it up a bit, or even draw your own thing, they will obviously re-touch it and make it more professional looking, the are artists after all.

Guys, do you think tattoos on women are attractive or are they a turn off?

Hey guys I have recently been looking for tattoo ideas and on one blog I notice a few negative comments from guys. I currently have 3 tattoos. A butterfly on my upper arm, roses from my hip to my thigh, and a swirly design on my shoulder. I like to think of these as very feminine tattoos. I would just like to know what is your opinion of tattoos on women?

There will be guys that love them, and guys that hate them. It is all a matter of personal preference. You can't please everyone all the time, so why try? I love tattoos on women, the more tattoos the better. Before I got my sleeve, I would gawk at and compliment women with visible tattoos. They are the ones that inspired me to decorate my own body. I find I get alot of male attention due to my tattoos. Before my sleeve, I was a plain Jane that never got male attention. After my sleeve, I had something beautiful and unique about me. They are a great conversation piece. Both men and women come up to me and strike up conversations about them. I even inspired my mother in law to get her first tattoo at age 55. I say get as many as you want. Some people buy pretty paintings and hang them in their houses. We buy pretty artwork and put it in our skins. Best of luck to you and happy inking!

What kinds of tattoos look good on inner forearm of a woman?

Im running out of room! All the places i have tattoos now can be hidden. I want one that will show and i want my next one on my inner forearm but haven't seen a lot of women with them.
what seems more like a good idea. A picture or a quote?
Or any other helpful suggestions?

I have a tattoo on my wrist/inner fore-arm.

It's a flower and I'm adding a hummingbird to it...it looks great on me. And it goes about halfway up my forearm, but the hummingbird wil take up more room. It is a cover-up of an original butterfly that was home-made and looked ghetto as f.

I'm also going to potentially get a sleeve, and if I do that, I am getting two skeletons (bride and groom) with day of the dead makeup on my inner forearm to flow into my gypsy skull on my left upper arm...

We're both 18 and we've been best friends since kinder,and since we've been best friends for such a long time,I had the idea to get matching tattoos. That's really cool that you came up with that :)
(These would all be matching so you each would have the same one. I would recommend getting them tattooed on your wrist, shoulder/upper arm, neck or upperback.)

-Charm bracelets (I've seen these and they can be customized to say your names or something different)

-infinity hearts (look great on the wrist)***
