What do you guys think about inner thigh tattoos?

lachatnoir

don't answer with "very nice when you're 80" please.
i was considering getting a black and blue butterfly tattoo on my left inner thigh to represent Angel Sanctuary, mirroring Belial's tattoo. Does it look ok there? I notice that it is quite a fatty area. Is it an area prone to fast tattoo detorioration?
thanks

Answer
it sounds like it would hurt since thats a sensitive area.
if the tat means somethin to you, then its ok to get it, and its not true that you should get it where everyone can see it. you can get it for yourself and youll know you only be sharin it with someone u care about.. or care enough about to let them look there.
one other thing, the butterfly to some people (especially if you get it there) would represent you as a whore. no offense. butterflies wit their wings always open (legs) goin from flower to flower (dif men)

Butterfly tattoo too girly for man?

Baylee

In a two weeks for my sweet 16 my dad and sister are getting a butterfly tattooed on them for me. The reason they're doing a butterfly is because of the butterfly project. The butterfly project is to help stop people from self harm. (Cutting) If you are not a cutter you can draw a butterfly on yourself and name it after someone that you hope will get help. I recently just stopped cutting so this is why they are getting the tattoo. But I don't want my dad who has all these bad ass tattoos to have some girly butterfly tattooed on him. Do you think it's too girly or it's okay because of the reasoning for it? Thank you :)

Answer
I don't think it is, you shouldn't worry about what other people will think of it. Its the meaning behind the tattoo that's important. Also i think the tattoo has a very deep, meaningful message and i hope it all goes well.

lower back tattoo on a guy?

Blake P

i've asked a similar question before but i just wanted to get some other people's takes on this subject. im a straight guy thinking about getting a tattoo on my lower back and i want it to either say sapientia (latin for wisdom) or memento mori (latin for remember you are mortal). i want it to be similar to david beckham's only about 2 in. higher. i was also debating on getting it down my side, but like the idea of having it on my lower back more. but thinking with an open mind...what do you think about the lower back idea? and if you have any pictures or links to pictures of similar tattoos, please share.

Answer
Bro, its not like youre getting cherries, juicy, a butterfly or some other true tramp stamp, youre getting something that has meaning. Who cares if you get it on your lower back? There are plenty of guys who have tattoos on their lower back, hell I was going to get a bull and a matador on my lower back just because it seemed like the best place to me to get it.

A tramp stamp is something that is tattooed with no meaning except for to attract attention, which is why tramp stamps are always visible because of the low cut jeans and half shirts the tramps where. Then the tattoo itself is always something to signify a beauty mark, which is why they go for something stylish like a butterfly, or bright and simple like a pair of cherries, or the damn playboy bunny.

Trust me, yours isnt a tramp stamp man, its a tattoo.

all the man's say tat.. if girls puts butterfly tattoo on own body is means girls r prostitute..?

Janaki

Answer
Oh Lord!

No no no no no not the least bit true.

Clearly you aren't English, and I don't know what your local beliefs are, but this is just ridiculous.
There are millions of woman who have butterfly tattoos that are definitely NOT prostitutes!
This is not a secret code.
People get butterfly images to represent many things, like:
freedom
happiness
beauty
delicateness
individuality
etc.
They also get butterflies just because they like them.
They get them because they are feminine and pretty.
They get them to represent someone who has died - like a little girl.
They get them to remind themselves of things that make them smile.

I have never heard a negative reason for why anyone has gotten a butterfly tattoo.
I have never known of anyone getting a butterfly tattoo to show that they were prostitutes.
This is not true, and is actually silly.

luck~

What does a tattoo of a butterfly on your lower back signify?

Question?

I just seen people with tattoos of butterflies on their back and i wondered if it meant something or if it didn't.

Answer
The meanings of tattoo's change over the years and vary between the different kinds og groups of people who like them. When I was younger, Birds and butterfly's meant you were free and didn't keep one steady boyfriend. To the bikers and rockers, it meant loose or slut, to the goth's black butterfly's meant seditive like sleep heroin...or drugs ect... They mean different things to different people I have both birds and butterflies. Ever hear that Tori Amos song "Butterflies?" It's about a woman who only sleeps with men who are not clingy or easily attached. So use your judgement and get what you want...If you do it for anyone else, you'll never do it at all.

My favorite tattoos are snowflakes... I just got them recently I got them because to me... They mean that no two are alike, I got three small ones and in the center of each one I have my 2 son's initials and my partners intials in the larger of the three.

any general quotes small ones for tattoo about anything?

Georgia h

need small tattoo quotes phrases words about anything

Answer
You can never go wrong with Shakespeare.
"We will all laugh at gilded butterflies." meaning we will all laugh at those fallen from grace
"The devil can cite scripture for his purpose." meaning that scripture/religion can be used to justify anything, or alternatively liars will go to any length to prove a point
"The world is mine oyster!" meaning the world is yours for the taking
"All the world's a stage." this one is self explanatory
"To sleep, perchance to dream..." this quote is in one of Hamlet's speeches, he's contemplating suicide
"If music be the food of love, play on." Also self explanatory, from 12th night, i think
"Et tu, Brute?" meaning "You too, Brutus?" historically the final words of Caesar and in the play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. Caesar utters this after being stabbed 23 times by his friends, the final blow by his best friend/possible son, Brutus, which is why he basically gives up and dies.
Also from Caesar, "The evil that men do lives after them, The good is oft interred with their bones." meaning that what you do that is good will live on forever, where as the evil will be buried in your bones.

In brief, your personal history determines which of these pertains to you. Personally, if I were going to get a tattoo of a saying, I would get "OBEY THY FATHER AND MOTHER" down one side, or just "OBEY THY FATHER." or maybe "It is much easier for a man to destroy the light within himself than the darkness all around him." meaning that it's much easier to destroy the good in you than the evil throughout the world.

Does a tattoo of a butterfly on your chest mean you killed your father?

butterfly tattoo meaning men
on shaded tattoos taurus tattoos beautiful tattoo quotes tattoo ...
butterfly tattoo meaning men image

I roughly remember that being the symbolism behind steve mcqueen's tattoo in papillion.

Answer
Butterflies have a symbolic association with transformation and with freedom. I haven't seen that film in a very long time, but I seem to recall a theme of wanting wanting/needing to transform, and of wanting to "fly away", to escape. (Also, papillion is French for butterfly, but you may have known that already.)

I know an awful lot of women who have a butterfly tattoo on their chest, and I'm pretty sure that none of them committed patricide. I've never known a man with a butterfly tatt, but I'm sure they're out there, and the odds are very good that that they're not murderers, either.

What is the meaning to a mermaid tattoo? I am just interested in knowing if there is any specific meaning.?

tecumtzu

I am just curious to know what if there is any special meaning or if it is just a design that people choose.

Answer
Sailors chose mermaids to carve on various items, way back when, because they represented something the men couldn't have while at sea, a woman. Part fish and part human female, she could satisfy the desires or these poor deprived sailors, since it was seldom women were allowed aboard and the common sailors were not to get near the ones that were. Those were either family members of the ship's owner or captain, or the seldom seen female passenger traveling with her father or husband. Now I believe it is a choice of the individual and due to the spirit of freedom the mermaid, (and the butterfly, fairy, unicorn, eagle, wolf, puma, etc., etc)., represents to the person that is getting the tattoo.
