I'm ready to get another tattoo and I'd like to get something symbolizing freedom (not an american flag or the statue of liberty, i'm not THAT patriotic). I'm just really into the fact that everyone should be free to be who they are, make their own desicions/mistakes, stuff like that. I was told a rainbow could be a symbol of freedom but doesn't that mean gay/lesbian freedom? I'd appreciate any ideas you have. (The tattoo will go on the outside of my left ankle).

Answer
you can get a butterfly, dolphin, any bird symbolizes freedom

Can a tattoo of a butterfly be manly?

Anonymous

I'm a 27 year old heterosexual male who loves having sex with tons of different girls. In fact, you might say it is my defining attribute. On my several trips to Thailand, I have been called "Butterfly Man" by many of the girls there. It's a Thai metaphor used for someone who, like a butterfly, hops from flower to flower (or in this case sexual partner). I kind of like being called "Butterfly Man", so I was thinking of tattoo ideas and thought a butterfly would have special meaning and significance for me. Problem is, butterfly tattoos are normally for girls or gay men. It will be on my upper bicep, so not a tramp stamp, but still very gay if I just got a normal pink butterfly or something. Anyone got any good ideas on how to make it manly? I was thinking skulls on the butterfly or something but that might just look like a punk rock chick tattoo, vice a normal chick tattoo. Guns maybe? Or make the butterfly into a pin-up girl with wings? I don't know... help me out. I'm stumped.

Answer
Hahaha depends.
