butterfly tattoo designs with swirls image
Hallie
okay so my friend is turning 18 and the theme is animals. me and a group of our friends have decided to go as unicorns but i dont no much about them. how exactly can we dress as one. we are just hoping to use makeup and clothes we have then actually going to a costume shop to buy stuffed unicorn costume. just need ideas on makeup, hair, props, shoes, clothes etc to be 'unicorn like' ????
Answer
Make-up: use temporary tattoos you would find off the rack at a grocery outlet. Designs would include, butterflies, flowers, swirls, and lots of glitter. For the eyes, use eye-shadow that shimmers and choose a color that compliments the color of your costume [i.e.~ purple skin, purple eye-shadow]. Blush is not necessary as animals do not have a noticeable blush to their faces. Lips, use a glittery gloss, or a plain bright color like pinks and reds that harmonize with skin tone and costume color.
Hair: if long, a high pony-tail with a huge bow would be cute. If short, buy hair clips that resemble bows, butterflies, and even unicorns! Hair spray paint is also available at costume shops, if in stock.
Props: not necessary, but if desired, maybe a saddle/saddle bag. And then, you could hide your friend's present inside.
Shoes: must be comfortable, and a solid color. It can be a simple black or brown to be like horse hoofs, or it can be a crazy bright/neon/sparkling color to match the lipstick/gloss you choose to wear or the eye-shadow. Try to find a pair that resemble hoofs [like flat slip-on sneakers, clogs, uggs, platforms, etc.]
Clothes: plain colors, generally, so as to not "over do" the whole costume and take attention away from the unicorn outfit and your face. Use colors that will match the costume like pinks with yellows, or greens with blues, basic color pairings.
I do hope this helps! Have fun :)
