Barbara
I have a tattoo that I've been adding to. Each time I have a child, I add a butterfly in their birthstone. I have a big butterfly on my foot (colors are symbolic to me), my husband's butterfly (Emerald), and my son's butterfly (Citrine). I am trying to conceive, and in the off chance that my child is born in April, the birthstone is a Diamond. However, can you get a white butterfly tattoo? I can't see it looking very good. What other ideas could I do, or should I completely avoid that month?
You don't need a Facebook account to view these photos. The first link is just me and my husband, and the third is the added new butterfly (for my son).

Yes you could have a white butterfly, perhaps with the black outline similar to your existing butterfly designs. The black would help to make the white 'stand out' more.
I have a white flower with a little shading around it to help make it 'pop' and it shows up perfectly well. Don't be put off by what some people say about white tattoos, they can be just as visible etc as any other ink colour. There are some exceptions obviously, some people don't seem to hold the ink as well, others it just doesn't seem to show up as good (I'm pale and it shows up nicely on my skin)
There are also some artists who are not comfortable working with white ink, although most are, so if you choose to go with the white just call ahead and make sure.

Can you put a tattoo around a scar with scar tissue?
MIRACLE GI
I have a big scar on my lower back and alot of scar tissue. It looks like the middle of a butterfly and I want to have the outline of butterflu wings put on the side of it to make it look like a butterfly. Can you help me with sites that I can look at some butterfly tattoos?
Answer
Sure honey! Some tattoo artists are leary of working on scar tissue because of the overall quality but good ones incorporate it with a design to blend. I know a girl with scars all over her arms and they camoflauged them beautifully. A few women with breast cancer scars had it done and you do not even notice them. Good for you for turning something into a positive and including it with the art! ROCK ON SISTER!
