I am a teenage girl and I want some help picking out my tattoo. I am positive that I want one and can't get it for another month but I really want to know what I am getting ahead of time. I want something sexy, and cute, but not too overly seductive.(no naked girls, my parents would kill me) I am getting it either below my bellybutton on either side or on my lower back. I don't want anything too over done like birds(you see those everywhere), but something original. If you have any ideas thanks :)
I really like that tree idea. I have no clue why but I think I want to get a small tree going up my back with a kiwi bird in it. (even tho kiwi birds are flightless and most likely don't live in trees..) Haha. I still want that. Thanks a million to all who answered. :)
I like the fairy and dragon ideas as well! I heard somewhere tho that dragon tattoos were bad luck or something. Idk. I like that idea anyways. And heres some tid-bits about me:
I love animals, hot girls, rainbows(lol), jewelry, piercings, tattoos, flowers, the color red, trees, nature, fairies, hearts, stars, originality, candy beads, and just sticking out rather than blending in. :)
This will be my first tattoo. so i really want something cute :)

OMG those side - tattoos and lower back tattoos are awesome! You know the regular tribal designs they do for lower back, right? (If you don't, here're a few examples: http://www.tattoodesignsus.com/images/tribal-tattoo-designs.gif) I got my mother's name in Chinese letters tattooed to my lower back, with tribal designs like that at the sides of the writing. That's a cool idea in my opinion, you might wanna try something like that.
Something including butterflies would be very cute - but I guess that fits into the over-done category. tho you could get a uniquely designed butterfly!
Dragons are wonderful lower back tattoos. I know it kinda sounds horrible, like total guy stuff, but don't be prejudiced. Some dragons are pretty! The girl on the right, for example, has a great dragon tattoo: http://www.getbetterlife.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/lower_back_tattoos.jpg
Fairy tattoos are perfect for lower back, and a VERY unique idea. They look very cute too! Something like these would be perfect: http://images.elfwood.com/art/j/c/jcifranic/faeriescom.jpg
Stars are cool for lower back tattoos: http://www.todaytattoos.com/images/lower-back-star-tattoo.jpg
As for on the side of your belly button, again I would suggest a dragon. Like this: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs4FwkiXO98eQS3YPLtfswQhhUJiHX0tDg6mVtFvUbCOrrI6PmTfTvL17RyK5vmzTaNtyArVkZ8TWIz3V0rW5t_f-pnWfRMeWHaYQmp1dLw91axpBcXrKuCYdksWkRGo8ctLcgCsk-8m66/s400/dragon-tattoo-design.jpg
But if you think it's too edgy, go for something cuter. I know you said no birds, but this is majorly cute: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2314/2185103087_46cfff984d.jpg
Also maybe some stars? I know these take up kinda a large area, but if you put them closer to each other, you can fit it below your bellybutton: http://z.hubpages.com/u/252746_f520.jpg
Butterfly is a good idea for here too: http://infinitetattoos.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/tattoo-butterfly.jpg
One of those swirly desings, that look like branches of a tree (the best way to describe them) looks great here too: http://www.dream-tattoo-design.com/images/Tattoo%20on%20Tummy%20Girl%20(240%20x%20600).jpg
Or maybe something as simple as flowers! If you can extend it a bit towards at your leg, you know put the end of your tattoo on your leg, it would look VERY cool and give the impression that it continues at your bikini line as well, when it actually doesn't. This is what I mean: http://media.entertainment.sky.com/image/unscaled/2009/2/16/Peaches-Geldof-0209-6.jpg
Hope these help!
